What is the Shrimp Sea Glass Frame?

The Shrimp Sea Glass Frame is an 8x10 frame with a laser-cut wood shrimp outline on the glass. You fill the shrimp with crushed glass and sea glass in the colors you choose, and the design is sealed in clear resin. Set it in a window and the shrimp lights up.

Think of it as coloring inside the lines, with glass instead of crayons. The outline does the drawing for you, so all you decide is the color. Fernandina Beach is known as the birthplace of the modern shrimping industry, which makes this one a natural souvenir of the island.

We have a wide variety of glass colors and shapes in the studio, and you are welcome to bring your own beach finds to work into it.

Add it to your cart and choose a date in the Choose Your Workshop menu to make it during Open Paint (Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 4pm, all ages) or at a 6pm Pick Your Project workshop on Thursday, Friday or Saturday (ages 16+). Can I take my shrimp sea glass frame home the same day?

We recommend leaving your frame at the studio overnight so the resin can set, then picking it up on the next day we are open (Tuesday to Saturday). Can we make sea glass art at a private party?

Yes. Sea glass projects can be booked for birthdays, bachelorette parties, girls' nights and team outings. Private parties have no guest minimum, and adult parties last about 2.5 hours. See our private party options.

What other shrimp and sea glass projects can I make?

For a same-day project, look at the Shrimp sea glass sun catcher or the Shrimp in Ocean sea glass sun catcher. To design a frame from scratch, see the Create Your Own Sea Glass Frame, or browse every sea glass project.

How do I care for a sea glass frame?

Keep it indoors, dust it with a soft dry cloth, and lift it by the frame rather than by the glass.
