The Cardinal Kinusaiga Fabric Art is a no-sew fabric art project from Paisley Grace Makery in Fernandina Beach, Florida. A bold red cardinal built from layers of fabric and finished in a 10" x 10" shadow box frame.
Kinusaiga is the Japanese art of no-sew fabric painting. Small pieces of fabric are tucked into grooves carved into a board to build a picture with the soft texture and depth of a quilt, with no needle and thread required.
Think of it as a paint-by-number where the paint is fabric: the grooves show you where each piece goes, and you choose the colors and prints.
