This hands-on two-day technical seminar explores the innovative fusion of three distinct but complementary technologies, laser engraving, UV Printing and sandcarving. Seminar participants gain insight on how to upsell to glass customers by transitioning from their laser shallow etch to the smooth- sanded, deep-carve capabilities of a sandcarver. In addition, participants will work with substrates that were traditionally difficult with lasers, such as polished metals and hard ceramic glazes. Instructors, IKONICS Imaging, and The Country Porch Swing are experts in their respective technologies and fields. While teaching the techniques of merging these technologies, each representative will also give in-depth demonstrations of individual technologies and their uses. Our instructors will empower students with a working knowledge to combine laser with sandcarving in one process, Blazering, to enhance offerings and make dreams a reality.
