What is the Jacksonville epoxy map?

The Jacksonville epoxy map is wall art made in two layers. You pour the bottom layer, an epoxy resin background in your own colors, at an Epoxy Workshop. After it cures, Paisley Grace Makery attaches a laser-cut wood map of Jacksonville on top, so your resin shows through as the water.

Think of it as a window with the map as the frame: every river, creek and stretch of coast is an opening, and your pour is the view through it. On the Jacksonville map, your pour becomes the St. Johns River as it winds through the city toward the Atlantic.

Because you choose the colors, no two maps are alike. Pour true-to-life blues and greens, or match the room it is going in.

Jacksonville map questions, answered

What is the Jacksonville epoxy map?

The Jacksonville epoxy map is wall art made in two layers. You pour the bottom layer, an epoxy resin background in your own colors, at an Epoxy Workshop. After it cures, Paisley Grace Makery attaches a laser-cut wood map of Jacksonville on top, so your resin shows through as the water.

What sizes does the Jacksonville epoxy map come in, and what does each cost?

The Jacksonville epoxy map comes in four sizes: 8x10 inches for $125, 11x14 inches for $175, 16x20 inches for $225 and 20x24 inches for $275. Each price includes your background board, epoxy, pigments, the laser-cut map and instruction.

Do I make the map myself?

No. You pour the epoxy background at the workshop. Paisley Grace Makery laser cuts the wood map of Jacksonville and attaches it after your pour has cured.

Do I need experience to make a Jacksonville epoxy map?

No. The Jacksonville epoxy map is a beginner-friendly Epoxy Workshop project at Paisley Grace Makery in Fernandina Beach, Florida. We mix the resin, show you each pouring technique, and stay beside you while you work. Many of our guests are pouring epoxy for the first time.

When can I make my Jacksonville epoxy map?

Epoxy Workshops are held on select dates only, not during daily Open Paint. Choose your date from the "What date would you like to attend" menu next to the Add to Cart button, or see the full workshop calendar. Each date is marked Ages 16+ or All Ages.

How long does the Jacksonville epoxy map workshop take?

Plan on about 2 hours from the first color choice to the final pass with the heat gun.

Can I take my Jacksonville epoxy map home the same day?

No. Epoxy needs time to cure hard, so your Jacksonville epoxy map stays at the studio and is ready 7 days after your class. Pick it up at 1014 South 7th Street in Fernandina Beach, Florida, or choose the shipping option when you register and we will send it to you.

What colors can I use on my Jacksonville epoxy map?

You choose from more than 18 shades of mica powder to tint your epoxy. Ocean blues, teals and white are the most requested, but you can match your home, your school colors or a season.

Is the Epoxy Workshop BYOB, and are kids allowed?

Yes, BYOB is welcome at Paisley Grace Makery. Evening Epoxy Workshops are for ages 16 and up, and select afternoon dates are open to all ages. Every date in the menu is labeled.

Can I sit with my friends?

Yes. When you register, type their names in the "Who would you like to sit by" box and we will seat your group together. For a group of your own, see our private party options.

Can I order the Jacksonville map already finished?

Yes. The finished Jacksonville Map Epoxy Poured Sign is poured by our team in your choice of Oak or Aged Barrel Gray stain, from $125. Allow 2 to 3 weeks for production. You can also see all of our epoxy maps.

How do I care for epoxy wall art?

Dust it with a soft dry cloth and hang it out of direct sun. Cured epoxy is hard and glossy, so it does not need sealing or polishing.

Ready to pour your map?

Pick your size and your Epoxy Workshop date, then add your Jacksonville map to the cart. From $125.
