What is the This Is Us sign?
The This Is Us sign is a layered wood project, laser cut at Paisley Grace Makery in Fernandina Beach, Florida. You paint the pieces, stack them and glue them into a finished piece with real depth.
Think of it as a pop-up book made of wood: every layer is cut separately, painted, then stacked so the design stands out from the background. This one is a shaped plaque that reads "This Is Us" with your names in script underneath and a cluster of sola wood flowers across the top.
Add your name or wording in the Personalization box when you add it to your cart, and choose every color yourself.

Add it to your cart with your personalization and choose an Open Paint session or a 6pm Pick Your Project night in the Choose Your Workshop menu. We cut your piece before you arrive.

We set out your laser-cut pieces and you choose your colors. Our team shows you which pieces to paint first.

Stack, glue and take it home
When the paint is dry, the layers stack and glue together. Plan on about 2 hours, and your project goes home with you the same day.

Do I need experience to make a 3D wood project?
No. The pieces come laser cut and ready to paint, and our team walks you through painting and assembly step by step. Most of our guests have never made one before.
When can I make the This Is Us sign, and do I need a reservation?
Because this piece is personalized, we cut it to order, so add it to your cart with your details before you come in. Then choose a date in the Choose Your Workshop menu: Open Paint runs Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 4pm, and 6pm Pick Your Project workshops run Thursday, Friday and Saturday (ages 16+). You can also check the workshop calendar. The studio is closed Sunday and Monday.
How long does a 3D wood project take to make?
Plan on about 2 hours in the studio to paint your pieces and put them together.
Can I take my This Is Us sign home the same day?
Yes. Projects made in the studio go home with you the same day.
Can I make the This Is Us sign at home?
Yes. Choose Take & Make in the buy box. You get the pieces and your choice of 3 paint colors, and you paint and assemble it on your own schedule.
Can I choose my own colors?
Yes. The colors in our photos are only examples. In the studio you choose your own paint, and Take & Make kits come with 3 colors of your choice.

Yes. Choose Finished & Pre-Painted in the buy box and our team paints and assembles it for you.

Is the studio BYOB, and can kids come?
Yes to both. Paisley Grace Makery is BYOB for Open Paint, evening workshops and private parties. Open Paint (11am to 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday) is for all ages, and the 6pm Pick Your Project workshops are for ages 16 and up.
Can we make this at a private party?
Yes. 3D projects can be booked for birthdays, girls' nights, team outings and family gatherings. Choose Private Party Time in the buy box, or see our private party options. Private parties have no guest minimum.
