What is a layered name sign?
It is two signs in one. We laser-cut a backer that follows the outline of your lettering, then raise the names on top of it. The first name is cut in a flowing script and the middle name in clean block letters, so the sign has real depth, soft shadow lines, and color contrast that a flat cut-out cannot give you.
Because the backer hugs the shape of the names, every sign is one of a kind. A short name and a long name will never look the same, and that is the point.

How do I tell you the names and colors I want?

Can I use a first and last name, a nickname, or two siblings instead?
Yes. The top line of the layered name sign is cut in script and the bottom line in block letters, so any two-name combination works, including a first and last name, a nickname, or two siblings who share a room.
How is the name sign measured?
The size of the name sign is its width, measured from the edge of the first letter to the edge of the last letter. The height varies with the names you choose, so a longer name makes a shorter, wider sign. If you need an exact height or width, let us know before you order.
Does the name sign come with hanging hardware?
Hanging hardware is not included with the name sign. We recommend Velcro Command Strips, which hold the sign flush to the wall and are friendly to rentals and nursery walls.
