What is the epoxy whale tail serving board?
The epoxy whale tail serving board is a wood board cut in the shape of a whale or mermaid tail that you finish with a poured epoxy resin ocean, usually across the flukes.
The shape does half the work for you: pour your water across the flukes and the board looks like a tail lifting out of the sea.
Use it for charcuterie, or hang it as coastal art between parties.

The epoxy whale tail serving board is $80. That covers the tail-shaped wood board, epoxy, pigments, tools and step-by-step instruction at Paisley Grace Makery in Fernandina Beach.
Do I need experience to make an epoxy whale tail serving board?
No. The epoxy whale tail serving board is a beginner-friendly Epoxy Workshop project at Paisley Grace Makery in Fernandina Beach, Florida. We mix the resin, show you each pouring technique, and stay beside you while you work. Many of our guests are pouring epoxy for the first time.
When can I make my epoxy whale tail serving board?
Epoxy Workshops are held on select dates only, not during daily Open Paint. Choose your date from the "What date would you like to attend" menu next to the Add to Cart button, or see the full workshop calendar. Each date is marked Ages 16+ or All Ages.
How long does the epoxy whale tail serving board workshop take?
Plan on about 2 hours from the first color choice to the final pass with the heat gun.
Can I take my epoxy whale tail serving board home the same day?

What colors can I use on my epoxy whale tail serving board?

Yes. When you register, type their names in the "Who would you like to sit by" box and we will seat your group together. For a group of your own, see our private party options.
Is an epoxy board food safe?
Once fully cured, the epoxy is food safe for serving. Use the board for cheese, fruit, bread and charcuterie, and do your slicing on the bare wood or a separate board so the resin stays glossy.
Do you have other whale or mermaid projects?
Yes. You can pour a whale mandala for $85 or a layered mermaid tail from $85.
How do I care for an epoxy board?
Hand wash with mild soap and dry it right away. Keep it out of the dishwasher, away from hot pans, and out of direct sun so the resin stays clear. Oil the bare wood now and then.
